African Initiative Travel Grant

The IEEE Microwaves, Antennas, and Propagation Conference (MAPCON 2025) is dedicated to fostering inclusivity and global participation in the fields of RF, Microwave, Antennas, and Propagation. As part of this commitment, MAPCON 2025 is pleased to announce the African Initiative Travel Grant, aimed at encouraging and supporting young researchers, academicians, and industry professionals from Africa.

This initiative seeks to provide a platform for participants from Africa to present their research, exchange ideas, and engage with international experts. It reflects MAPCON’s vision of empowering the next generation of African researchers while ensuring broader representation within the global electromagnetics community.

Application Criteria

  • Applicant must be a researcher, academician, or industry professional affiliated with an institution/organization in Africa.
  • Demonstrated involvement in RF, Microwave, Antennas, or Propagation-related research or industry.
  • Commitment to attending the full duration of the conference (December 14–18, 2025).

  • Complete the official application form.
  • Upload a short CV (maximum two pages).

Award Value

  • Selection of 10 outstanding professionals from Africa.
  • Comprehensive travel support, including:
    • Round-trip economy airfare to Kochi, India.
    • Complimentary conference registration.

    • Participation in hands-on workshops, technical sessions, and cultural exchange programs.
