Workshop on Advancing Humanity and Society through STEM: Driving Innovation for a Resilient Future
Overview
As part of IEEE MAPCON 2025, this workshop aims to foster innovation and collaboration in the pursuit of resilient, inclusive, and sustainable technological solutions. It brings together thought leaders, socially driven engineers, and innovators to explore how advances in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) can be directed toward the betterment of humanity and society.
This initiative represents a joint effort of the IEEE Microwave Theory and Technology Society (MTT-S) and Antennas and Propagation Society (AP-S), aligning with the goals of SIGHT, COPE, HTB, and BPC to integrate humanitarian technology into mainstream research and practice.
Objectives
- Launch a collaborative initiative under IEEE SIGHT/COPE/HTB to strengthen humanitarian engineering engagement.
- Promote inclusive innovation and socially responsible technological development.
- Create tangible community impact through sustainable and ethical engineering practices.
- Encourage grassroots engagement to address real-world societal challenges.
- Foster international cooperation for long-term sustainable development.
