MAPCON

Welcome Message from the Chairs

Dear colleagues and friends,

It is our great pleasure to welcome you to Nagpur, popularly known as the ‘Orange City’ and Tiger Capital of India. It is one of the fastest growing metropolis and the third largest city after Mumbai and Pune in Maharashtra. The city is located on the eastern part of the state and is the geographical ‘center’ of India (country’s ‘Zero-Milestone’ is located here). It is surrounded by several national parks that are habitats of tigers.

The conference venue is IIM Nagpur campus and will be held from December 14–18, 2026. MAPCON 2026 will provide a comprehensive international platform for the exchange of cutting-edge research and advancements in electromagnetics, microwave engineering and antenna and propagation.

The event will bring together leading researchers, engineers, technocrats and practitioners from around the world to share their knowledge and expertise. The inaugural edition of MAPCON was held in Bangalore from December 12 - 15, 2022, and was a grand success, attracting over 800 delegates from government, private and academic organizations worldwide. The conference has grown steadily in the subsequent editions held in 2023 (Ahmedabad), 2024 (Hyderabad) and 2025 (Kochi). In 2026, we anticipate an even larger participation, with a projected attendance of over 1500 delegates. MAPCON 2026 will feature a broad spectrum of activities, including technical sessions across multiple tracks, keynote and plenary sessions, invited talks, workshops, tutorials, special sessions, student design competitions, mentor-mentee programs, industry sessions, exhibits, professional meetings, tours and networking events.

Additional highlights include Ph.D. initiative activities, Young Professional (YP) activities, Women-in Engineering (WiE) events, AP-S and MTT-S Jt. Chapter Chair meetings, SIGHT workshop and start-up initiatives.
