Charminar

Golconda Fort
Predating the Charminar, built by the Kakatiyas Dynasty in the 13th century, Golkonda witnessed reigns of many dynasties over the history—from Bahmani, Qutub Shahis, to even Mugal regimes. Constructed on a granite hill, the citadel is a true reflection of ancient architecture and engineering. Makkah Masjid
Makkah Masjid is one of the oldest and largest mosques in India. Located close to landmarks of Charminar, Laad Bazaar and Chowmahalla Palace, the mosque holds 400-year-old history in its bricks. The mosque gets its name from Macca, the holiest site for Muslims: The monument was constructed from the soil brought in from Mecca upon the order of the late Muhammad Quli Qutb Shah, the fifth ruler of the Qutb Shahi dynasty. The three arched facades were carved from a single piece of granite and it took more than 8,000 workers to build the mosque.

Salarjung Museum
Home to some of the most stunning art collections and artifacts, Salarjung Museum- the legacy of the Salar Jung family is one of the famous places in Hyderabad. It was inaugurated on 16 December 1951 by the late prime minister, Jawaharlal Nehru. The antiquities in the museum were held private by the Salar Jung family before becoming public in 1951.
The museum showcases a variety of artworks, from Indian Art, Art of the Middle East, European Art, to even Far Eastern Art. Moreover, Indian sculptures, Persian carpets, bronze statues, Chinese porcelain, wood carvings and many more are some of the attractions in the museum.

Ramoji Film City

Birla Mandir
Birla Mandir stands tall in pristine white and enhances the skyline of Hyderabad. This Hindu temple was established in 1976 by Swami Ranganathananda of Ramakrishna Mission. Built atop 280 feet high on Kala Pahad, Birla Mandir is spread across a 13-acre plot.

Hussain Sagar Lake

Birla Science Museum
Birla Science Museum is one most famous places to visit in Hyderabad. It is one of the most well-known science institutions across the world. Envisioned by P. A. Singaravelu, a civil engineer, this B. M. Birla Science Museum was opened in 1990.

Nehru Zoological Park
Nehru Zoological Park is an ideal place for nature and animal lovers. Being one of the largest zoos in the country, it’s spread across 380 acres. The zoo was opened to the public in1963.

Sudha Car Museum
K. Sudhakar Yadav established Sudha Car Museum in 2010. The museum showcases some “crazy cars” based on everyday items and handmade by Sudhakar himself, a Guinness World Record holder(2005) for building the largest tricycle in the world.

Chowmahalla Palace
Spread across 12 acres in the present day, the Chowmahalla Palace was completed by the 1880s. Established by Nizam Salabat Jung, the palace continues to be under Barkat Ali Khan Mukarram Jah, the heir of the Nizams. The name Chowmahalla has been derived from a Dakhini Urdu word ‘chār mahallāt’ meaning ‘four palaces.’
Chowmahalla Palace was presented with the Asia Pacific Merit award for cultural heritage conservation by UNESCO in 2010. The palace is known for its unique style and elegance, which makes it one of the most famous places in Hyderabad.

Taramati Baradari
Taramati Baradari is a performance hall of the very famous Taramati. With 12 entrances, this auditorium was a true marvel of architecture in its time, where performances were held for the 7th Sultan of Golconda – Abdullah Qutub Shah.
Now a monument, Taramati Baradari, is utilized as a cultural complex where musical and theatrical shows are held.

Falaknuma Palace
Falaknuma Palace is often referred to as the ‘Mirror of the sky’. The name speaks for itself! Made with white marble, this exquisitely designed palace is excellently maintained to date.
Designed by William Ward Marret, an English architect, this palace was first owned by the Paigah family, and later it was controlled by the Nizam of Hyderabad.
